Today on Spiritual Awakening Radio I present an exploration of vegetarianism and veganism in the great world religions -- the world religions are going vegan. We explore how vegetarianism itself is going vegan. There are readings from early gospels used by the Hebrew Christians, sometimes called the Ebionites, that original Yeshua Movement that formed long before the Apostle Paul's Roman version of Christianity. There's discussion about the relationship between the Essene branch of Judaism and the Jesus Movement. Hear readings from Christian and Gnostic scriptures, the Adi Granth or Sikh scriptures, Buddhist texts and other contemporary Buddhist sources. I also mention the Jesus Sutras discovered in China -- that the Church of the Light group that once used those texts also adhered to a vegetarian diet.
