Prioritizing Daily Spiritual Practice

Prioritizing Daily Spiritual Practice

"Saints have adopted three methods to get our salvation, that is — Satsang, seva, and Bhajan Simran. So, we have to listen to Satsang lovingly every day. And make it a habit of listening to Satsang every day. And second is to do seva. Wherever we are, where there is a gathering of satsangis or there is any Satsang program, we should do physical work there. We should help by doing that physical work. But we should do so lovingly. And we should be particular that we do not carry any ill feelings about any fellow sevadar, or have any envy, or have any anger towards any other sevadar or any other person. We should do it lovingly and we should do it when we are doing our Simran. Or we should do it when we sing some bhajan of the Masters. But make sure that we do not have that ill feeling while doing that seva. If we do so lovingly, then seva is as good as Bhajan Simran. It is like a cash transaction. When we do seva, immediately, the burden of karmas gets redeemed — provided we do it lovingly and provided we do not have any ill feelings or we do not engage in slandering about others, or getting some envy or anger towards others.

"So, these are the three methods. One is to listen to Satsang every day. Second is, whenever possible, to do seva lovingly. And third is to do Bhajan Simran again every day. These three, if we do, then we get the pleasure of the Master and His hand of Grace comes upon our head and He showers His Grace and helps us, not only in our duties as householders, but also on our spiritual path. So, these are three things that we have to remember always. One is Satsang to be heard every day; second is seva to do whenever possible lovingly; and third, is to do Bhajan Simran every day." (excerpted from the satsang discourse, Till We Overcome Those Attachments And Entanglements Outside, The Soul Will Never Be Able To Withdraw And Go Inside, August 15th, 2022, by Baba Ram Singh)
