"The sum total of these observations is that there is one power and one only — the Sound Current — which leads us from the eye center to our Spiritual Home. Shall we reexamine the beliefs we have inherited and make conscious choices for ourselves instead? At first the brave seeker of truth may encounter the frustrating detour paths of those who have not seen for themselves and offer no methods of spiritual practice. At the end of the satsang they continue to wait for the real satsang (instruction) to begin. Says Soamiji, "Without a true master and true naam, no soul can escape. Today, another installment in the ongoing Christian Vegetarian Series. Did you know that Saint Jerome, Latin name: Eusebius Hieronymus, translator of the Vulgate Bible, was a vegetarian? Also we explore vegan & vegetarian views found in the Ebionite Book of Acts, also known as the Clementine Homilies and Recognitions, the largest surviving pro-vegetarian Christian scripture of antiquity. It's preserved in a treasure-trove of literature known as the Ante-Nicene Fathers,  composed before 325 AD.

"The consumption of animal flesh was unknown up until the great flood. But since the great flood, we have had animal flesh stuffed into our mouths. Jesus, the Christ, who appeared when the time was fulfilled, again joined the end to the beginning, so that we are now no longer allowed to eat animal flesh." (early church father Eusebius Hieronymus, also known as Saint Jerome)

With this emphatic declaration, Jerome makes Christianity, from his point of view, seem like a vegetarian religion, and that with the advent of Christ commenced a new spiritual epoch of compassion that includes vegetarianism. Amazing!

1. Now, therefore, we shall expound the religion of Divine Love.

2. That, truly, is of the nature of the supreme Love of God.

3. And in its own intrinsic nature, Divine Love is nothing less than the immortal bliss of freedom (Mukti) itself, which comes unsolicited by the grace of God and by self-sacrifice.

4. Gaining that, man realizes his perfection and divinity and becomes thoroughly contented.

6. Realizing that, man becomes intoxicated and fascinated, as it were, because he is completely immersed in the enjoyment of the Bliss of the Atman, the truest and highest self.

The word "Nara " means knowledge useful to humanity and "Da" means a giver, so Narada means the one who gives useful knowledge to mankind and guides humanity to the right path. Narada Muni is a divine sage from the Hindu tradition, who plays a prominent role in a number of the Puranic texts, especially in the Bhagavata Purana and in the Ramayana. Narada is portrayed as a traveling monk with the ability to visit distant worlds, planets, and lokas. He uses the Veena to accompany the singing of hymns, prayers and mantras as an act of devotion to God.
