In the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna says: 'Whatever is Truth always exists and is never non-existent. That which is non-Truth has no existence whatsoever.' By association with a pure soul the mind becomes pure and the darkness of attachment is dispelled. We Need That Love And Affection To Sit In Meditation Attentively - Light and Sound on The Path

Mahatmas say, “The love and affection that is manifested in the world outside, if that love is focused within in Naam, then our work will be done.”

Mahatmas say, “The mind, which is now flowing out to Maya and all the different manifestations of Maya, if that is focused towards God Almighty, then our salvation is not far away.”

But our mind is not outwardly focused only in this life. Ever since this creation has come into place — and the mind — ever since it has been here, it has been outwardly focused. Even for doing our things outside, we need love and affection.

Like that, for progressing on the spiritual Path also, we need love and affection. But because that love and affection is scattered all over, out in the outward pursuits, we are not able to focus it within.

We should try to follow the Teachings given in the Satsang and try to reduce the love and affection that is flowing out. And, if we do so, we will get our salvation in this life itself. All the Mahatmas, all the Saints, have been successful by doing this. They have been able to turn away Their love and affection in this world to the love and affection towards Their Masters and Naam. And that is the only way They have got Their salvation.
